Join Humphrey Senhouse, 18th century founder of Maryport, merchant, collector and antiquarian as he walks Alauna, the Roman Fort, telling tales of times gone by. Story walks at 30 minute intervals. Meet Gaius the Roman Potter and make your very own goddess! Taste Roman food, train with Victor the Centurion and much more.

Directions

At junction 44 on the M6 take the A7 into Carlisle and from Carlisle the A595 towards Cockermouth. About 6 miles (10km) from Carlisle turn right at a roundabout on to the A596 which will bring you to Maryport.
